It's killing me...

... knowing that the new World Inferno Friendship Society is at Extreme Noise in CD form, but the vinyl is not here yet... I don't want the CD! Meanwhile I just have to make do with the one new song on their myspace page. Ah, the awkward transition into the digital age.

Tippy's playlist

I caved and got an iPod for a price I couldn't refuse. I've been stuffing it with music, but Tip got ahold of it and programmed her own playlist: 1) Dog At Large, Naked Raygun 2) Dog Tree, The Ex 3) All Dogs are Hes, All Cats are Shes, Toys that Kill (though she's perplexed by the title) 4) Corky Dog, Citizen Fish 5) Hear the Dogs, Dog Faced Hermans (her favorite band, of course) 6) Rough Dogs have Bumps, Melt Banana 7) Vagabond Dog, Naked Raygun 8) Bulldog Front, Fugazi 9) Underdog, The Dirtbombs

5 seizures...

...so far tonight. I'm exhausted -- it's 2:30 in the morning and I still don't think she's quite right yet. On her last one, I was rushing her to the back door and somehow she started spasming right by the basement steps and fell all the way to the bottom. Ugh.

Fence and community building

Bryan & Justin started building our new fence this weekend! I'm sorry I wasn't around to help -- I did three workshops at the Simultaneous Fest, which was really fun. I think the timebank/hours exchange program might actually take off. I was thinking about how it might work, and I wonder if I'd even want to list web dev as a sharable skill -- I do it too much for regular money I don't want to burn out. There are other skills I'd happily share... we'll see.

Simultaneous Festival this weekend!

A few friends of mine have been working nonstop all summer to put this awesome fest together at the Soap Factory. There'll be music, art & workshops -- some of which I'm helping with. OpenCircuit is doing a wiki workshop, and FWD-MN will be doing some workshops on alternative economies.

First Annual MN State Fair Scavenger Hunt

Matt did an awesome job of pulling this together in two days, and we had a ridiculous time today running around collecting photos of kids crying, teenagers making out, mullets, odd hats, animals giving birth, and other, more obscure things. In the end, Molly and John were victorious. Most of my favorite photos, though, weren't on the scavenger hunt list!

New site up

I've been pretty busy with making sites lately -- more of these posts to come in the next few weeks. Michelle Vale website Roger did the design and I made the site and set up the shopping cart -- my first shopping cart.

Peeling the house...

Now we're in the process of pulling the siding off the house. One side done, three to go!

Tip had two seizures on Saturday -- one in the bathtub while I was trying to clean her up from her first one. Poor girl. I treated her afterwards with a little bit of ice cream, then a walk over to the dog park.
